Guruji Natyacharya is a music and Dance teacher, Dance director and research scholar. He has written 97 books on music and dance. Guruji Natyacharya is an exponent in Bharathanatyam, Vocal and 36 varieties of musical instruments. From the year 1972, he had been accompanying player on mridangam, flute, harmonium and violin for many dance orchestras. He had composed many dance dramas for many dance teachers. Guruji Natyacharya Sri S Balachandra Raju is Kanchi kamkoti Peeta Asthana Vidwan and Musicologist.
A disciple of Guru Udupi Lakshminarayana, he teaches in Kanchipuram Ellapa Mudaliar baani. He had been working as an accompanying artists with many other teachers. He has analysed many other baanis also and has studied unique features in a very professional manner.
Guruji's Books on Dance are Natana mudraigal, Natana Adavugal, Natana Maniyin Kaiyedu, Natiyamum Yogakalaiyum, Natiya Palligal Amaipadu Yeppadi, Natiya Nattuvanga Saaram etc.., books on dance.
His books like Natya Nattuvanga Saaram stand as a guide to Dance teachers in all styles. His works for dance- Padams, Varnams, Jathiswaram, Shabdam and dance dramas are being taught by many dance teachers to their Students.
